This is our thankful turkey. We would put a feather on every time we would have a treat.
We have everything from Tooth Fairy, Cool Whip, Being Able to Run, Kenmore, Spectra, Frigidaire, Being 10, A Warm House, Bikes, Cold Cereal, Family, Friends, Prayer, Temple, Panera Bagels. So as you can see we had to become more, and more creative. This is a fun tradition and I think we will do it again next year.

Happy Halloween
Up until a week ago Macy was going to be a blue power ranger.
Then she came to us and said she didn't want to be that.
I suggested a Rubik's cube and she said Yes!

I went and made the project more complicated
than it needed to be and decided to make her solvable.
It turned out so well (not to pat myself on the back or
anything) but everyone could tell what she was supposed
to be.
Caden was a New York Yankees catcher (and yes I forgot to flip the picture before I uploaded, sorry).
Kelbie's first temple trip
Saturday, Oct. 30
I can't believe we are old enough to have a child going to the temple!!
Rich went with her and they had a great time, even though they had to get up at 5 AM!!!

Another busy Saturday
Muddy Monster at Seminole Valley Park in CR
This is the Marathon Monster group that came
out to run the Monster Mile. There were a few
more that showed up, we ended up with almost
20 participants. It was a ton of fun!
As you can see, Macy was having a blast!
She recorded a new best time of 12:04. And
she wore a costume - a Hawkeye football player!

This is me running in the 15K. I got into the
spirit of the day and wore my spiderman
costume!! Look at those muscles!
This is me finishing after 1 hour and 44 minutes
of running. Wowsa!! I actually really enjoyed
the race, despite it being a 5K loop three times.
It was a fun family day. Rich was disappointed
he didn't run and will tell you it was my fault
for not registering him (he said he didn't
want to run it, I swear!) We even won a door
prize and then Caden got some free food and
$10 gift certificate to the sporting goods store, since
he has an October birthday.
Kelbie got fourth in her age group and got a prize, Caden
finished just after her, they were both in the 8 minute range.
I was so proud of all three of them. We are ready to sign
up for next year.

Caden turned 10!!!
We had an ultimate frisbee party for him two days after his actual birthday - which we celebrated with Grandma, Grandpa, Rachel and Brennan. On his actual birthday we had Mongolian Beef and homemade french fries (per his request). And chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate chips on top.
The birthday party pictures are in reverse order, oh well!!
So these first pictures are of the game that the boys played after Rich and Brennan taught them the fundamentals of ultimate.

This picture makes me laugh because the
kid with the red bandana appears to be having so much FUN!!
This Caden doing the kickoff at the beginning of the game.
Before the game, we had the boys do some drills. They
learned all the different types of throws and we even practiced
diving catches. We blew up the GIANT silver inflatable couch and
had them jump onto that while trying to catch the frisbee.
The looks on their faces as they did this were priceless.
Every one of them makes me laugh, I just posted a couple.

After the drills, we played ultimate frisbee. Rich was captain of
the blue team and Brennan was leader of the red.

Team RED
the winners!
I am pretty sure the birthday boys team earned the win :)

Kelbie's first cross country meet at Tipton

The course was 1.5 miles and after the nerves at the start, it was a piece of cake for her to run. Last Saturday we got home after dark and she still WANTED to go for a run, so I rode my bike along side her. It was a beautiful night for a run. She now says that a 2 mile run is no problem on a regular basis.
Yesterday was Kelbie's first cross country meet and her first competition in organized school sports. Wow! I'm getting old. I was so proud of her and the effort she made. She finished the race and was smiling and having a good time, so maybe all of the running I have encouraged her to do hasn't been pure torture :) !! The team aspect of cross country is so AWESOME. It is an incredible sport to be a part of.

I can't believe I am old enough to be the mother of this beautiful young woman! She is growing up way to fast!!!

These two are growing up too. I love to see them actually smiling and touching each other at the same time.

First day of school!!! Macy in first grade, Kelbie is seventh and Caden in fourth. Don't they look fancy in their new shoes and new back packs?

Family Reunion 2009
Everyone is actually looking at the camera, even though Henry doesn't want to be :)
OK, so I haven't posted in over a year and I am beginning to feel guilty enough to put a few pictures up. Maybe I will actually get some current ones up in the near future - if I'm lucky!

Mia and Macy would go down this slide over and over and they would run into each other at the bottom. They thought it was hilarious.

Caden has been playing AYSO soccer for a year and a half now. He loves it!

My three cute kids all dressed up for Easter 2009. I know its almost Halloween, what can I say!
